Service month/year after indicator reset

I plan on a DIY for an e92 cabin filter, and once I reset the service indicator will it then provide me a new month/year to change the filter again? For example mine was due "10/2011" so upon resetting will there be a new date for next replacement?

Yes. Once you reset the service indicator a new date and mileage will come up.
