Boot won't open, rear lights gone, help please?

Hi everyone,
I hope you guys could point me in the right direction before I fork out a fortune I think.
Basically, my 2010 e90 lci got the smallest tap on the rear, insurance sent it for repair for only a bumper cover, receive car back 2 days later the boot will not open (no keyhole entry on my model so can't manually open it), lose inner rear lights, tow bar Will not retract, battery will not keep charge. After 4 months of appealing these with the insurance company it's supposedly wear & tear and I been fobbed off.
I've taken it for a diagnostic check to my local bmw dealership, and report states possible internal fault with frm module. I'm not happy to fork out £500 to fit a possible fault which still might not fix my problems.
Has anyone else encountered any similar problems?
Many thanks

I encountered the boot opening conundrum after I'd been in hospital & didn't use the car for well over a month, but I was able to open it after I charged the battery via the connectors under the bonnet. It's a damn stupid idea having no alternative way of opening the boot.

Thanks for your reply, unfortunately tried that but no luck I don't understand why bmw removed the key hole or an emergency release in the boot for European models??

There is a switch in the glove box that controls opening the boot. Its a on/off.make sure Its turned on and try the button again.
