What part? Control Arm Bushing but which one...
Car was up on the lift today and I was shown a torn control arm bushing. It looked like it was at the top kind of close to the the frame, not very close to the wheel. I see there are upper bushings, lower bushings, and some just say bushings without any designation as to where they go. should I assume its the upper?
Also need two new front rotors. any suggestions for a DD car? Thanks! |

It is almost certainly the tension strut bushings. They are filled with hydraulic fluid. Look at the bottom diagram on this page.
http://www.getbmwparts.com/parts/200...agramCallOut=4 The bushing is part #3 but it is included in part #2. That is what most folks do. They just replace the entire arm with the bushing. It isn't much more expensive and includes the ball joint at the end. Are you replacing the rotors because of vibration on braking. That is usually caused by by bad bushings so I would replace the bushings before putting new rotors on. |

I'm also waiting on quotes from a few shops about suspension parts/labor. ecstuning has some good options too, just search for your car though.
