Crossing border without front license plate

Has anyone from BC experienced/tried crossing US border without the front license plate installed? Anyone got ticketed for doing so????

I didn't install the front license plate on my new front bumper.

I always cross the border without my front plate and no one has said nothing to me.

it should be fine; the guys at the border won't look for your front plate.

CBSA only reads the rear plate...
