the cap cable doesn't connect to the OE plug. the other male wire end does. that's why I switched the plug ends. you could leave the cap plugged in the way I have it in the pic and plug the other wire into the cap and then to the car.

I think on the kit that I got the black wire didn't run to the BROWN OE wire. So the polarity was being reversed and the lights would flicker and go off. Then I started to flip wire back and forth and make things worse.

So I just simplified the wiring by getting the male plug that fits the OE onto the cap wire with the correct wires matching what they need to match. And got rid of that xtra foot of wire

you can leave that extra wire in. just make sure that the current from the OE BROWN wire runs through it to the BLACK cap wire. it wont matter what color the wire is on the extra wire.

That is correct. He was trying to color match the two light scales once he installed his fogs

So far nada. I think that it is a pretty simple solution and there shouldnt' be any problems. My kit had 335redlins fix already worked in but, props to 335redline for starting the thread.

It should work the same way. I am not sure about the high and low beam -- dual HID bulbs. But if you are just changing a H7 or H8 halogen bulb for a HID kit with capacitor then it should work.

I like it. I have yellow fogs on now. But since I can now double my HID, am going for the kill. Thanks for the find!

hmm had a question..

does it matter whether the ballasts are "digital"? would regular ballasts appropriate to the kit work for this set up?

ie the other hid kit from ddm
