Carrabelle Florida 1/2 Mile Roll Event

This past weekend I drove out to Carrabelle, FL for the WannaGoFast 1/2 Mile Roll event. I had an absolute blast out there! There were some insanely fast cars, but I think I represented the N54 Community honorably. My best trap of the day was 141.03 MPH and was averaging 139-140. The car was running fantastic.....up until I decided to do a race from a dig. After the first launch from a dig the stock clutch with 73,000 miles on it decided it had enough and the event ended early for me The good news is, once I upgrade the clutch, then I need to look for more power to take full advantage of it Here is the video I made from the event and some logs of the first couple of runs before my laptop died. Most of mods are listed at the beginning of the video. Enjoy.....

**EDIT** I got some more info from Norm, the owner of the C5 Z06 in my video. Norm wrote "Justin even though it didn't really show the car has just a little less than 900 hp at the wheels. It has an all forged 427 with a YSI race supercharger. The Supercharger belt came apart a little bit but the worse part was one of the EGR ports busted on my header so I was done. I did let off quite early and actually hit my brakes well before the finish."

It would have been worth the drive for sure! I am going to try and make it to the next event in Georgia if I am free.

Those fuel trims.... Such a variation in fuel trim between bank1 and bank2. Also looks like you are running out of fuel where the fuel trims flatline at value of 34.

And your car is obviously very fast so..... it's got more in it?

Is this a correct observation?

I think the difference in fuel trims is due to uneven Meth distribution. I didn't start having that issue until I started running Meth. The car is running way rich so I am certainly a little down on power right now. I started to tune it out, but doing all the runs at the event I preferred it a little on the rich side. Ideal for me would be around 12 instead of the 11.4 - 10.9 its running now. I will keep tinkering with the fueling though. I have plenty of headroom left to keep my fuel trims from maxing, but I was comfortable with the short duration they were maxed since my AFR wasn't dangerously lean. The car seemed to run a little worse when I increased my OL Fuel setting more and it was giving me pretty negative trims closer to red line. I may get the procede flash to try and help with my crazy rich AFRs.

That run against me definitely wasn't his best of the day. His best trap was 148 later in the day

There were several other cars at the event that I was out trapping (Mustang 5.0 with light mods, Acura NSX, Dodge Challenger SRT-8, C6 Corvettes, Ferrari 575 etc), we just never ended up being lined up against one another. It did kinda suck losing most of the time, but overall still a really good time. The sad thing is, it would take more than the Vishnu/FFTEC single to come close to some of the cars there. Next event I go to, I will do a little better on picking who I line up against though.

You guys up there could probably get something going there if you had the time to call around, get sponsors, find a airport that wasn't busy and could close for the day, etc. That's how WannaGoFast got started. It really was a blast.

I would have ran you for fun, but without meth or ATR map, I know I wouldn't have had a chance (maybe on the race map). If another event happen to pop up before I leave, I'll roll.

All my runs were strictly for fun, so it would have been great to race. I would have disabled my meth if we ran. It would have been interesting to see the outcome since we have similar mods. Hopefully something will come up before you take off. How did the trip to strip last weekend go?

I'll break it down like this.
It made me realized how different driving is on the strip than it is on the street. I knew that cold air= more power, however, I found out that cold= bad traction . If I was to stick to the sport, I would definitely invest in some drag radials. Car was breaking loose and getting side ways up to 5th gear. After deflating my rears a bit, I started to hook up a little bit better but now how I did before earlier this year.

Hopefully you can make it out. I know you'll have a good time and it would be nice to have some more BMW's out there. There were only 2 there, a modded 135i and mine.
