Solved: 335i vs 335xi BBK compatibility.
For those who are looking to buy a BBK and wonder if they are crossed compatible between i and xi, there is a simple solution!
All you need is a new brake line made for the xi. Stoptech sells them for $55-$60. Part # : 950.34024 - this is the xi brake line. Enjoy!

Except that the 328 BBK from Brembo performs way worse than the stock 335i brakes...

True, but if you can put 335i brakes on a 328i, and the same for the BBK, I think putting them on shouldn't be an issue to my knowledge.
Yep. I think there are multiple people who put 335i BBK on 328is.

Well no, but my point was that if the 328 BBK kit is smaller than the stock 335's, then it should come as no surprise if they break worse than the stock ones as Vasillalov wrote.

It has been proven that they are worse than stock 335i and perhaps all stock brakes in the e90 range.
The pistons are melting and disintegrating. Correct, they are designed and made by Brembo but for the masses and with visual aesthetics in mind and not the race track. Last edited by vwetish; 01-05-2015 at 10:04 PM.. |
