Grrr ... I can't see my turn signal indicators on the dash!

I like to keep my steering wheel positioned low so that it feels more like a race car and less like a school bus. I noticed, however, that when the steering wheel is positioned low, I can't see the turn signal indicators because they are blocked by the top portion of the steering wheel. I wish BMW had positioned the indicators just a little lower on the dash.

Anyone else encounter this?

Yup, definitely noticed this when I drove the car home from the dealer. I'm guessing that this is more of a problem with ZSP, as the wheel is obviously thicker. No way around it besides adjusting the wheel -- sort of dangerous not to be able to clearly see your turn signals.

Agreed - the sport package steering wheel definitely makes this problem worse, along with the fact that I'm still not used to how to activate and deactive the turn signals.

It'd be nice if the car could remind you with a warning tone if the turn signal has been on for, say, 15 seconds when the car is moving. I'd still have to keep the steering wheel adjusted so that I can see the indicators, but this would still be a nice feature to have nonetheless.

Either that or a big message that pops up on iDrive saying "Hey, did you forget to turn something off?"

I'm glad someone brings this point. I tought it was only me, but I have the sport package and no matter what seat position I try, I can't either see the turn signals or the area where the 70 mph is. I am not big nor small, just an average 5'10'' 175lbs guy. I know BMW does a lot of design iterations to get all ergonimics correctly, but this one seems like an abvious miss in my book. BTW, I've had my car since November, and around every month adjust the seat and wheel height without much improvement.

yes i have this problem too and i'm only 5 7. i position my wheel so that i can still see the 1/4 of the turn signal (the bottom section) but really if it weren't for the turn signals, i would've liked my steering wheel lower.

Im 6' 1" and have this same problem. I have to put the steering wheel all the way up to see it. And also I turned off the three blink function. Just never got used to it and when im changing lanes i wish it would stay on for just another blink or two.

You may wonder why I respond to so many post about the E90 when I drive an E46, well my girlfriend has a e90 so I drive both nearly everyday.

So you guys will be like the old man in the Buick then right? Leaving your turn signal on for 15 minutes... even when going over a long bridge!

No Problem in the E46. I have my seat memory set in both the e46 and E90 and with the E90 I cant find the right position to be able to see the turn signals and have everything else be just right.
