help, tar on tires

I don't know if this is the right secion to post.

On a oneway road, some road workers was working on potholes. Their machine was leaking which left a snake shaped fresh tar accrose the entire road, so I and other cars on the road inevitably picked up those tar...

2 hours later I drove my car back from school, I can hear my tires were clicking in rhythms. then I checked my tires to discover that all four of them were stuck with small amount of tar and small rocks on the surface and in the thread.

what can I do? just leave them there and let friction wear them out in the next 50 miles?
is this harmful to the rubber? I just put my new tires on 10 days ago...only had about 30 miles on them...

It should be fine. Just give it some time and driving until the tar is scrubbed off.
