LMFAO!!!

I feel ya I dont feel comfortable with it either.

If anyone needs meth it'd be me. It was 109 here today and summer's just getting started. But this being my DD, and only car, and I dont want to have to be adding another fuel to the vehicle that needs filling, etc., etc. just seems like way to much unless it's a track car or just a Sunday ride kinda thing.

Then if it blows up you still have other means of transportation.

On Stage 1 Agressive 93 octane, I would say 60-70 at the crank.

I think people are confusing two different discussions here. Misting the IC with water EXTERNALLY can help to prevent heat soaking and it can help to bring the IC temps back down once it does get heat soaked. However, a more effective route to take is to use CO2 sprayers. Neither are as effective for CAT control as meth injection though.

As far as water/meth injection goes ideally you want it as far up from the TB as you can get it, in the hot side IC end tanks if possible. People use CP with meth nozzles because it still works well and is the easiest means.

agreed on bold text. thanks for the other info. was not aware that people actually do look to cool the IC. you learn something new every day.

If you have 93 octane you can start with stage 1 agg., once you add your dps move up to stage 2 agg., and then while your at it get a nice fmic so you can run stage 2 + agg.

S1+ has higher gains than S2.

So IMO go with FMIC before DP's. But yes, @CT335xi is correct, but always log to be sure your car is happy.

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate the quick response! Which FMIC would you recommend and 5" or 7"? Should I stick to VRSF FMIC since the dps are that brand? Thanks again

According to a response I got from them while I was still deciding the 5" requires no cutting, and the 7" does require a little trimming.

In case you missed my helix FMIC review a few pages ago I dont suggest that one.

If I had it to do over again I would probably get this:

^ It even has tabs to hold the Radiator fan in place. Something I really like about it, the Helix has none. So the bottom of your radiator fan is just flopping around in there... Very poor design IMHO. In fact this is the only one I can recall seeing which has tabs to hold the radiator fan in place.

I don't see how the aftermarket can be so dumb and entirely miss the boat something so simple as the tabs to hold the Rad fan in place?

Plus the "J pipe" and silicon hoses from the Helix didn't fit at all, and all have to be modified and cost extra for the J pipe. The Wagner looks like it might actually fit into the car as intended..... Kinda like the stock one did, you know without cutting pieces off and things flopping around unmounted...

and it's pretty cheap...

COBB is a flash tune through you OBDII. You can run both but need the proper tuning. There a threads out there that cover this.

yesterday on the way back into town, going about 70 i dropped it into 4th and did a couple pulls, and got a horrible sputter, missfire or detination, engine light came on, pulled over, shut the car off and restarted it, it was fine
i had the

missfire cylinder 6 code and the
P2DED code, i cant find much on that code.. still researching... guess Ill go with new plugs, id like to run a cooler plug.. i found a few guys running 7's they say they are made for the mini cooper S but work on my car.. I also found a page On HKS plugs, id love to run hks plugs. is there any HKS plugs that go right in, without any grinding of the plugs or what not

2DED shouldn't be the cause of your sputter, you sure that's your only code?

BTW, when you search for the code, drop the P in front, you will get more hits.
