Emergency Jack

Does anyone know:
1. Will a jack from an E46 fit the jacking points on a E90
2. Will a E46 space saver 16" be OK for E90 running 18 inch wheels

Reason I am asking is I am planning a trip to Belgium F1 next August and don't fancy doing the trip with just tyre weld.

Also Can't justify the cost of the spare wheel from BMW

anyone know?

Thanks in advance

E46 16" space saver fits the four cylinder models without a spacer as that's what I use, but you would need the 17" e46 space saver as the six cylinder models have bigger brakes.
As for the jack I brought a small scissor jack off ebay like this one.

Not sure about the E46 jack.

cheers for that, I was going to buy a 16 inch steel spacesaver from ebay, so you reckon they don't fit the six cylinder cars, so I suppose my other option is to stick one of my winter alloys in the boot, would take up loads of room tho...
or watch out for a 17 inch one.

I do think you would need the 17" space saver. However looking at some of the e90's on the US side of this forum it looks like the US spec 328i comes with the 16" wheel as standard. Maybe Uk spec on 325i models is the same brake wise, but you could try to find out if the front & rear discs & pads are the same say for 320d & 325i if so it would fit.

It fits the E92 so I don't see any reason why it won't fit the E90.

There are quite a few on Ebay, do a search under 'E46 jack'.

The jack from a BMW Mini will also fit:

Alternatively give David Powell a call at Fabdirect.com, I'm sure he'll sort you out a E46 jack - 01594 827333 ext 2221
