Catless downpipes and replace secondary cats with high flows for best sound IMO

Catless downpipes, and delete secondary cats. If your a E90, delete resonator aswell, keep the stock mufflers on.

To each their own. People either love it or hate it. To me it sounds like garbage unless you are WOT.

I have an E90 with the secondary Cat delete and Catless downpipes. It's louder than stock, but not much. When I was in the middle of the secondary cat delete I fired up the car without the back half of the system and it was really loud. After hearing that the muffler delete was no longer on my list of things I might do.

I agree with Tibra

Muffler delete is a MISTAKE on the coupe IMO... too much drone and vibration... I would say go with catless downpipes and secondary cat delete, or high flow cats...but keep the stock muffler

okay so after reading countless threads i still dont have my answer fully fully answered.. yes i know running rich gives that crackle crackle pop, but I am now at the point where I dont know if i should delete: ONLY my secondary cats or take out the muffler too?

I have a e92 and already have catless downpipes.. from what i read EVERYONE with a muffler delete complains about drone. Like i said earlier all im trying to do is get a deeper tone and get the crackle crackle pop sound amplified abit (i like when it really catches your attention).. which logically would become louder once taking out the secondary cats because of more flow.

im clearly stating this as im not hiding it at all, but im pretty much just doing a poors mans exhaust haha.. my funds are limited right now and doing the secondary cat delete seems like the best option.. Heard only good things about it, no complaints about serious drone or anything. Also I heard mixed opinions about taking out the x pipe aswell (dont think im gunna touch it)

Opinions? Will deleting the secondary cats help achieve what im looking for??

PS. I do not have resonators & have catless downpipes. My car already sounds pretty much like this ↓↓↓
... I WANT THAT POP SOUND AMPLIFIED/LOUDER

if you delete the mufflers too, you will essentially have a straight pipe exhaust. way too loud and unbearable for most.

Bmw performance exhaust.
If its too expensive, replace seco dary cats with high flow cats, or just delete them..but it will be raspy.
I say pe.

If you replace the OEM mufflers with Magnaflow mufflers you'll be shedding around 10-15 pounds and I personally like the sound on my E90. I wouldn't waste your time getting rid of the secondary cats, just get catless DP's. There's some drone at low RPM's with Magnaflow mufflers but I personally like the deeper tone.

if you have catles downpipes and you remove the secondary cats you will get a little drone, if you okay with it then do it. BTW where is your location if you are in brooklyn you can hear mine i have catles downpipes + secondary cat delete, sometimes i like the sound sometimes not!

im in toronto bro.. i keep hearing talk about this drone but mostly from people who have done muffler delete's... i dont think ill mind the drone from the secondary cat delete i just hope it will make the crackles and pops more pronounced if you know what i mean lol ina way more noticable instead of soft crackles and pops..i do have the catless dps so yea.. tomorow im gunna stop by a shop and try and get the secondary cats deleted.. i was considering a muffler delete but think i should delete the cats first and see what it sounds like leaving the stock mufflers alone for now..

X2 For the money it's hard to beat a muffler delete.

There are lots of old men on this forum that complain about muffler delete/drone, and don't realize that modifying a car takes away from the stock feel.
