Question Repair E92 Alloy Wheels

Anyone know the best paint colour match or the BMW paint code/no. to touch the wheels up on my E92 325i? Car is UK spec.

Cleaning it earlier & noticd a scuff on rim of one of the fronts:mad: It's too small to get it done prof. but big enough to bug me

Car is Space Grey with Star Spoke 185 wheels.

I have used Titanium Silver on the previous E46s wheels (18" V spokes), was a good match. Fortunately I haven't needed to touch the current E46s wheels. I also used a Peugeot silver in the past which was also very good.

Regards

Chris

You can get a wheel silver touch up stick from your dealer. I think BMW use 5 different types of silver paint for their wheels, and they do a touch up stick for each time. M-sport, individual, chromeline, brilliant line etc.

If they are factory alloys there is a good change Wurth will match; it's the same paint used on almost all stock German wheels.

I use it for almost all the wheel repair I do.

I am not sure if they sell it in the UK.

There's a great thread here- alloy wheel repair by a UK ex-pat- Paul330d.

From a thread on Tyresmoke.net:

If anyone is intending on refurbing their wheels, i've finally found the uk supplier. The paint is £8.50 and it's a paint/laquer spray so you dont need to buy any seperate laquer which is cool!

Here's the contact details:

Würth UK Limited
1 Centurion Way
Erith
Kent
DA18 4AE

Tel: 0870 598 784 1
Fax: 0870 598 784 2
BTW- the TiAg paint in the Halfords 3-step chip repair kit is a good match.
