Question Continental DW vs Michelin PSS

Continental ExtremeContact DW or Michelin Pilot Super Sport the price difference is about a little over $250 between the both

What are the benefits from both... i heard that the PSS are better at cornering, I am in need of some daily driving tires, getting rid of my RFT... i do drive my car like I stole it most of the time...

What do you guys recommend, and yes I will be ordering from tirerack

Sorry to say but they're not in the same league...

PSS do everything really well IMO. I've even driven them in light snow/ice which while I cannot advise, was shocked that they gripped as well as they did.

I would agree that the PSS are better than the DW but I live in SoCal and I dont see snow, my winter is when it rains... about a little over 20 days average in a year. For what the DW does right is grip the road in dry and wet surfaces... not snow...for that you would go with DWS if you wanted to stay with Continental brand...

Don't over read into that. My point was, they are a versatile tire, while being absolutely beyond reproach for being non r-specs.... in the dry, rain, and on the track.

DWs are good, but PSSs are great.

Both are summer-only max-performance tires The Pilot Super Sport is has better handling and grip as well as faster steering response, but the Conti DW and PSS are not so radically different from each other that they would be in different categories. The all-season DWS version would be in a different league.

The Michelins are awesome tires, but that doesn't mean that the Continentals aren't good! Good price on the set of four. They should treat you well.
