320D 2005 Auto Service Symptoms

Hi all,

So I've read quite a few posts about getting the zf box serviced around 100K which seems like a good idea. Regardless of if BMW say it's sealed for life (lol)

Anyway here's my issue... When I pull away from a junction, the engine massively over revs between the first and second gear change. I sound like a learner driver. This only happens when the engine is warm after a good 20 miles. It's never not found a gear or anything like that. It's just sometimes quite dodgy when I'm about to shoot over a roundabout and suddenly I'm red lining in neutral!

Is this a symptom of knackered trans fluid?
