Other half is hell bent on wasting money on a smoothie maker. Good ol' blender ain't good enough for her.
So are there any decent ones out there? No more than about $40. At least, she is only blowing one of the gift cards her work gives out every couple months. |

I make smoothies all the time and my $40 one finally crapped out. Went to Walmart and bought a $100 Kitchenaid one and its awesome. The wide blending area at the bottom is the key.
This is the one i got or atleast very similar. I love it.

+1 on the Ninja. makes excellent smoothies! cheap and highly effective. we've had ours for over a year, and it still works flawlessly.

Vitamix is the last one you'll buy - just make sure you put it in the prenup! It will turn anything into liquid - 2hp motor! $500

Ninja Master Prep on Amazon. I make two protein shakes every day and it's awesome. I've used it daily for over a year and a half; still going strong. Works just like it does in the infomercial. Sells for $60-ish.

The one you posted in the link is not the one I have, but it could be good as well.
Here is mine, 1000 watt vs the 400 watt, got it at Best But for about $80 http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CIABEPMCMAA Also, it is true if you have the cash to burn the Vitamix cannot be beat but you really pay for it. |
