The result of using pikey mechanics
Our MD put his X5 in for MOT the other day, they told him it needed 2 new gaitors on the front CV's and charged him accordingly. (£300)
Monday, he says to me there is a noise coming from the front, can i have a look... Drivers side had exploded due to numpty not putting CV back together properly. Notice cable ties, and colour of grease Superglued CV boot as well Passenger side. On the verge of going, bearings had dropped out. Drivers side. Pass side No way the nut has been off to split the shaft So, £850 later for 2 new shafts, all is fixed. Phoned the bloke before work commenced to ask him if he wanted to view his handiwork, but he declined, just said send him the bill Which is going to be about 2k. Can't beat parking next to the job |

I've had to replace those on my 4Runner, first the right side one year and then the left side the next. But since both were the inner boot the truck didn't fail the MOT (failed for something else each time). It's amazing how a £36 item can cost £250 to install.

What a shocker, as Tony said, "name and shame", it will hopefully save someone else the hassle of putting right some appalling so called workmanship.
Roofer you need to get your MD out on the tools, how comes he's driving around in a 3? yr old motor and your in a newish E90? Mind you he is vertically challenged,I guess the X5 makes him feel taller Next time John asks for a discount I'll tell him to donate it to your shortarse MD
