idrive dvd drive repair or replacing?

Hi

I have just bought a bmw e90 with drive and everything works fine apart from nav. disk got stuck in it when i bought and i have got someone to get me the disk out but now it won't take my new cd in its like it thinks there is a disk in it already.

can this be repaired and has anyone had same problems. also if it can't be repaired how much would the dvd drive be on its own?

Looks like about $100 bux with a $200 core from Tischer... seems really cheap... but looks right I think.
