e85 prices

As of a few weeks ago in my area the price of E85 went down and is now slightly cheaper then regular gas again. Anyone else in the same boat?

I know some of you didn't experience a price increase early this year but we were hammered hard on E85 pricing in my area and I'm just glad to see it cheaper then regular gas again.

One more thing, I finally converted my new style EPA gas cans to the older style with a product called EZpour, and my god all is right in the world now.

I went from taking 10 minutes to put 5 gallons of E85 in my tank to 1 minute and I didn't spill a drop, I always spilled at least a little with the EPA style spouts. Those newer EPA spouts are an example of how when .gov gets involved they screw it up more.

FWIW the EZ-pour products for legality reasons doesnt outright say they work on the Blitz gas can you buy at harbor frieght but they do in fact work perfectly on those new cans.

E85 is always cheaper here than even regular. As of right now E85 is $2.99/gallon (bought some today) and regular 87 is $3.40. Premium 93 is about $3.85/gallon. I've never seen E85 go higher than $3.29

Sounds like everything has been business as usual around your parts.
I was paying $4.30 a gallon for E85 for about 4 months.

Now it is $3.80, regular is abiut $3.90 here right now.

$2.99 when I filled up about a week ago.

I think 91 is $3.79 or so...not sure as I don't use it and they only carry E85 where I fill up.

94 was 1.50 a litre last week. That is about 5.70 a gallon. Also no E85 available anywhere within Western Canada. That means if I want E85 I'm stuck with VP C85 or similar.

$3.30ish in DC area, pump is more like $4.20-40 a gallon depending on time of year.

Depends how much. I'd almost always support adding in a gallon or two to an otherwise "non E85 tuned car" to clean up timing and cool combustion a bit. But 2 things.

1. If you aren't tuned for it, there's a very practical limit that you do not want to exceed or you will start to get into scalar issues.
2. If you aren't tuned for it, do not expect any addtl. power.

It's a great way to bring 91oct to 93, and add a touch of octane headroom for a pump gas map.
