Reasonable Repair Time?
My 2008 328i has been in the dealer for repair of the I-drive for 3 days. It seems to follow the general pattern of:
1. It's connected to the computer 2. The update failed 3. We escalated the problem 4. It's connected to the computer ETC. I have a loaner. Everyone is being very nice. But, I want my car back!! Is 3 days a reasonable time to fix this? Do I start talking to the service manager now? Can I 'demand' a replacement I-drive? What's a reasonable approach to the dealer? peter |

They obviously have no clue what to do... imagine asking someone with no background in computers to make changes to your PC's registry. I would say that it's not unreasonable at this point to ask for an entirely new unit.
