Independent servicing

I posted this in the newbies thread but realised that's probably not the best place to ask questions, so here it is again. My apologies. :

Does anyone use an independent garage (specialist or otherwise) in Surrey or Middlesex that they'd be happy to recommend for routine servicing? (I live near Guildford and work in Staines). I'm new to BMW as well as the forum, and my e90 71k 318D is due for rear brakes, according to the CBS. Don't know what this entails - assuming just new pads?

Also, rather mysteriiously, the CBS says the next full service (car on ramp icon) isn't due until 2014, or 22k more miles. Does this sound like a long way away?

I would recommend BW chiptune in Hounslow mate.

Jason at BW chiptune is a superb chap and REALLY knows his stuff.

It could be brakes or pads. It will also be a wear sensor needed.
