I'm not entirely sure about that; I thought 2006-2009.5 used the old sensors then 2009.5-2011 used the new sensors.
In any case I am about to take off my 2008 TPMS and was about to start a new "For Sale" thread. I sent my buddy with an '06 330xi an email to confirm what sensors the '06 uses; hit me with a PM if you find they are compatible with the '08s. |

Update: I emailed Tischer for the 06 TPMS parts (getbmwparts.org) and the sent me this link:
http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462 These look awfully like the 07-09 MY TPMS. Any experience with this? |

Look at your current wheels, if the valve stem is soft rubber - you have no TPMS, so don't spend you $... AFAIK 06 don't have em even though they have RFT's, my winter setup is like that.

I have an 06 330i and it does not have tpms sensors, which is why I'm selling the set that came with wheels I bought here. My owner's manual does not mention tpms so I don't think it was even an option in that year. As poster above mentioned, the soft rubber valve is a give away that you don't have tpms installed. The car uses the abs computer to detect a smaller diameter tire (ie. underinflated/flat tire) to alert you.
When you install new tires, don't forget to reset the tpms or you'll get the red tire fault. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=619597 |
