Dinan flash in Calgary

Anyone in Calgary interested in getting the Dinan Flash done? I talked to my CA and he might able to get a little off if we can get 5 or more people to do it at the same time. Their price is $2120 plus GST. It will be alot more if the car doesn't have the oil cooler.

You do know that by doing it, you void your BMW powertrain warranty, right? Yes, I know that Dinan takes over. I just don't like the fact that you have to deal with a 3rd party.

Is Calgary BMW able to 2008s without sending in the ECU yet?

Sorry, I am months away yet.

Let us know how it goes though.

I agree the Warranty changes benyl but nobody knows what the effect will be.

No one has had problems yet with any engine issues from the flash.

IMOP the dinan flash is safer than any other "ECU" type mod out there.

All 08 ECU need to be sent out as of right now. My CA told me they are getting the equipment to perform the reflash in house in the next couple of month. I also asked my CA regarding any warranty work down the road, he told me I just need to bring it back to them for the warranty work and I don't need to deal with Dinan at all. I will also ask them to put it all in writing before I would get the ECU reflash.

Joech >> I'm going to wait until Calgary BMW has the hardware to flash an '08. Hopefully by mid-April when it's time to put the summer tires back on they'll have their ECU cable.

I am very interested but won't be able to do it for a while yet. Maybe in the fall.

Thanks for talking to your CA and letting us know.
