Looks great Andrew. I've only just noticed the R8 style front side-grills (as they on 'lesser' TT's and I've just missed them??).
Love the 'two-tone' wheels also and behind the wheel looks like a nice place to be sat. The TT styling has never really set me alight but this 'beefed' up version really does look good. What engine is in this thing - I've lost track with all the downsizing going on - is it still a V8??

Looks great. I'd always thought the TT a bit effete but that looks fantastic.

oh yeah, my only slight niggle was that the TTS had the lovely looking quad exhausts while the top of the range TTRS only had twin ovals (albeit fat looking ones). i preferred the look of the quads personally, but i guess audi already played that card so could do it again..?

^ Same as on the R8. The V8 has quad exhuasts; the V10 has twin fat ones. Like you, I prefer the look of the quads.

The nice thing about Audi and the TT, is they are trying to go the way of Porsche and the 911, they have a great design and just tweek it over time, without fooking the look up completely.

Engine as standard is a 2.5 5 cylinder producing 340bhp, with a full Milltek and remap youre looking at 430bhp and a 0-60 or around 4.2 seconds and a top speed of around 175mpg (once delimited with the re-map) |

It's amazing really - those two phrases "2.5 5 cylinder" and "340bhp" don't seem to go together do they

Andrew it really does look nice and like the others I prefer the beefed up version of the TT RS.
Know what folks are saying about the exhausts. Mine has quads but the new RS5 has big twin ovals which seem to be manufacturers choice for some reason. The Porsche turbo has twin ovals. A form of copying perhaps? They are all in the same 'stable' now. I like the quads btw. The noise from the TT RS is rather pleasing have to say. Can concur that the interior feels and looks quality.....not sure how they do it, but they do. |

Sorry stat-man
At first yes, then it went up to 2.2, 2226cc to be precise (thank you wiki) And they were only 200-220bhp - seemed unreal then. Off-beat 5 cylinder is the important Audi historical link IMO - a very distinctive sound, but alas Ford have pinched that of late with their Volvo 5 cylinder engine in the focus ST/RS models. My dad had an old VW Passat Estate in the 80's with a 5 cylinder engine, sounded great. BTW - OP nice car... is this instead of the 335d tourer? Last edited by doughboy; 04-30-2010 at 08:26 AM.. |

Turn it up. Loud. Enjoy. Slighty more than 340bhp here but the principle is the same.

We have 2 girls 4, and 7 and they fit in ok..
The little one sits like a buddha behind me, and the 7 year old sits behind her mum.. saying that, give it another year or two (not that ill keep it that long anyway lol) and i think we'll have issues.. Quote:
And Helen, will you stop talking about RS5's please Jen actually said to me the other day that "those RS5's looks nice dont they?" So she's kinda coming around to the idea Give me 12 months and the excuse that the kids have grown, and i may be able to swing it |

That RS5 does sound NICE! Not keen on the red though.
Journo seems to like it but I don't really go on what they say too much as I've read and listened to rave reviews about cars, then driven them and though yeah right, can't see it personally. Been looking at R8 V8's, used ones on Audi's website and they are holding their value well!!........I give up. Anyhow, back to the Porsche site. |

Like it......a lot.
Id have the lower front central bar in the front spoiler/spliter painted black, would give it a really aggressive look.

you have a point, ive been thinking about doing something but wasnt keen on having the whole spoiler painted black, or wrapped in carbon fibre, so i think ure idea is a great compromise |
