Full SuperSprint exhaust system question please!
Hi everyone,
My car is an e90 2009 LCI 325i (european model). I'm kinda wanting to do the whole SuperSprint exhaust system (header, mid pipe, cat back). However, there's no1 here in Vietnam or US has the software for the ECU upgrade. So, if I were to upgrade the whole exhaust system, what's my option please? Thanks, D.H. |

You can even talk to AA or ESS, tell them that the car has a full after market exhaust system and they will adjust their software to account for that.

You don't even need software so don't let that be the reason holding you back from purchasing. Software helps with optimizing and squeezing every extra hp out of the system but your ecu will still adapt to the headers and so on.

Thanks guys.
So that leads to my next question. I'm in Vietnam, so, that means contacting AA/ESS before hand. Have them send over the software, then swap it out locally? Thanks, D |

If you decide to go with ESS, they have a hand-held device that comes with the software and you can flash your ECU whenever you feel like it. Before you buy, contact them and tell them exactly what exhaust system you are putting in the car so they could amend the programming to the exhaust.

SS is the quietest one, especially inside the cabin. Considering that the 3 series has a lot more sound proofing than the Z, I reckon you could also go with something louder. At the end of the day it's up to you and up to the price you are willing to pay. If I ever change the exhaust on my Z4 it will be SS.
