new pics... new hood...
Got this new hood from Duke Dynamics (there's only 2 of them in the US - 335oclock is the other) and after $1100 in bodywork and finishing, with NO TEST FIT... here it is. Thank goodness for my connections here locally at BMW and Cadillac for the outstanding - first class - body and paint work. My God, it looks like its wet and to be honest... my hood looks better than any other OEM body panel on the car... and it's an '11.
If anyone is interested in in finding out more about this hood or who to contact to purchase one, PM me. This is only for LCI e92's (period).

the vents sit just past the strut towers, I prepped any wire bundles with high quality sealant at all connections. Also, this car is only driven on sunny days - not my daily driver, I've had it for 2 years already, been in the rain 7 times... which breaks down to once every 1000 miles on the ODO. There are lot's of folks who have vented hoods, the new mustangs come with them. Better cooling, huge weight savings over OEM, and a subtle customization by using OEM paint scheme. Not sure if this would be right for a daily driver, I'm lucky enough to work out of the house, so the the vehicle indoors 90% of the time and driven on weather appropriate days. My other ride is the wife's swagger wagon (who also works from home) so I always have a car available. If that's gone, I take my son's GTI. Problem solved. It's not for everyone....

Damn sexy, love it and everything about this car.
About vent hood, sometime it's the pain. I myself have vent hood but not nice like this one and it suck. Like you I only drive on sunny day but every time I wash the car I have to use masking tape to tape off the vents. Also once in awhile rain coming from no where as weather guy wrong ;P |

btw that gap between your hood and bumper... easy fix. there is a rubber in between the hood and bumper, right in between your headlights; take that out.
