I am really sorry to revive such an old thread (particularly as this is my first post on the forum) but I read with a great deal of interest the comments by ///ajd & SS134 on the requirement to buy new LHD lights when moving to France. I am going through the process with my 2006 320d (E91) and have heard of one guy who says he got 3 cars through the CT with small sections of the lights painted out in lieu of the OEM tape you mentioned in your posts.
///ajd - did you get new, or did you find another way around the problem please?

Hi Oscar,

I switched my lights using the switch in the xenon - no cost and went though the ct no problem. I know people who have passed ct just with tape, but I think you need to find a willing ct station. Mine wouldn't.

Many thanks for the link, regrettably my lights are Halogen with no switch available. I have posted wanted ads on various forums and there is always the Headlight Shop on ebay if I get stuck.
We are in Dept 17, near Saintes
