Rear armrest cupholder?

Hi all

I don't seem to be able to find any cupholders in the rear of my e90 which is most surprising as its a 320d m sport business edition.

I have the fold out armrest but there are no cup slots.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Push the front end/top (depending on how you think of it) and they will pop out.

Don't think it's an E90 but it's the same.

I think M3's also don't come with rear cup holders.

Nope just checked definitely no rear armrest cupholder.

I do hope this is the last thing I'm missing as coming from my civic EX GT I'm feeling somewhat short changed

Can rear cupholders be retro fitted?

When BMW brought out the facelift E9x they changed the specification (like servotronic becoming extra and the E92 4 cylinder cars lost their semi electric seats). They also scrapped the cargo nets on the rear of the front seats and scrapped the rear cup-holders.

They then doubled the price of the option "extended storage" and gave them back to you.

It's an E36 but the placement is identical to the E90/1, they don't look identical, only photo I could.

That sucks for LCI people if they took it out. I don't even use mine. I do however use the aircon armrest compartment the LCI also doesn't have.

I imagine you could retro fit a Pre LCI arm rest.

Any ideas how you'd retrofit these rear armrest cupholders? I really want them.

Get the required armrest with them already in and swap the armrests over.

or Drive from the driver seat and keep your drink on those cup holder...

I hope you are not concerned about your passengers which may sit in your car twice a month!

My LCI E91 also has rear cup holders in the arm rest. It's a very early LCI though

I have a pre-lci E93 and I have no rear cupholders. Not even the ones that the Americans get built into the centre console. I wasn't happy when I checked

Then again, the front cupholders are kinda small for some drinks (like my protein shake bottle), so sometimes I shove cups in the rear cupholders since they are slightly larger.

And then Crash as you reach behind to grab your oversized Costa/Starbucks/McDonalds Coffee Cup....
