I say a JB3/Proceed, IC, Downpipes, DCI & 100 octane 335i can keep up, or maybe even be ahead of a stock C63 with same 100 octane gas up to 110-115 mph.
After that the superior top end gearing of the C63 will start pulling ahead. 335i + 200lb driver = 3800lbs 335i w/ above mods = 380RWHP (race gas owns with turbo cars) C63 + 200lb driver = 4100lbs C63 = 380RWHP (race gas doesn't do much with big V8) Cool weather and high elevation and the 335i will smoke it to about 120 MPH

You can find it on M3post. I would think the MB V8's would also benefit quite a bit. |

i'm not really sure there's much a bolt-on 335 could do to hang with C63 at high speeds. for instance, i have no problem walking away from M3s.. even with bolt-ons.. however i pull 1-2 car lengths from the get go due to torque.. then they hang around..
there's no replacement for displacement...

A member on this forum raced a tuned C63 with no cats from 30-120mph, the 335i sedan has a Jb3 and no sec cats and no resonators, on map7 93 octane only mods. The 335i got the jump and lost by 1-1/2 cars. i was there to see it. without jump would have lost 2 cars 2 to 2 1/2 cars.
The owner of the C63 said that the same 335i will give a very good run to a stock C63. Jb3 only e92 335i, map 7, 93 octane, raced a 6Mt e92 335i, 20-120, beat it by 2 cars. This was in mexico. Sorry no vids, but im sure the the forum member can tell the story. |
