20% (or is that if demo'd for 3mths) maybe 15%
Thanks for that (I think!).

Jeez, that would be some deal if you managed to get the thick end of the 20% margin as discount too.

What would be readily achievable in your experience? I understand if you don't want to divulge that though.

Looks like I might need to go back to haggling school!

The thing is most salesman arent going to let on to you that they have this bmw support up there sleeve. Depends on your relationship with them. Yeah you will know what it tells you on the bmw website in the offers section.
Margin is like so much front (8%) so much back (8%) just depends how much they need a sale.. the amount they will give away depends on how new the model is the state of the economy etc. I think 10-12% should be your aim. But after so many unit s they will hit targets and get large bonuses from bmw so may sell a car at a loss if they can achieve that target its just your luck.
Im sure they get 20% plus any incentives thats on at the time if they demo/register a car but have to keep 3mths before they can sell it.

Thanks for your reply Irnbrukid, very interesting.

Would love to be car sales person for a few days to see all the wheeling
and dealing from the inside. We did get about £500 over allowance on our
123d part ex too so still pretty happy.

Even happier now as I'm sitting down with a lovely cool beer watching Police Interceptors!
