My 335i is not my dd so I don't put many miles on it. Should I go by the maintenance guide or change some stuff earlier than recommended such as oil. I plan on changing the oil every 7500 miles but I may not drive it that much in a year. What do you guys think?

If you love your car, then change it every year =D Doesn't matter if you don't drive it a lot. I have a garage queen Acura NSX that I only drive around 2-3k miles/year, but I always do the oil every year. Tranny, brake, coolant, clutch fuilds every 2 years. Overkill? Maybe, but i think it is well worth it You love it, then you'll do it. You don't care about it? well... then don't haha. Simple as that. Good Luck and have fun!

Go by the Service/Warranty manual which states that you should change the oil at least once per year and your brake fluid once every two years. The other stuff may be done on a CBS (Condition Based service) basis as described in the manual.
