Bimmer dealer lowering car

Hey everyone,

I tried searching around and couldn't come up with anything. Can the BMW dealership lower the car for me? I have a warranty and would like everything done thru BMW so there are no problems. I did this for my Subaru and it worked out great but now I have upgraded to a BMW. I have stock 17's, so can they do coil overs or lowered springs? How does this work? Thanks.

Dealer fitment

Not sure abt the USA but here in the UK franchised dealers will only ever fit BMW OEM parts supplied by their parts depot. They would not fit customer supplied items even if BMW OEM unless you have proof of purchase.

BMW has their own "performance" range incl chassis upgrade. Yr local dealer will be able provide you with the details.

Enjoy!

BMW only deals with BMW approved parts. ANY component that's found by the techs or shop foreman may report it, .and these non-bmw parts may void that group or any associated parts of the warranty. IE, it won't void the entire warranty.

Your choice is to use the "performance line" of components. You can go to Bmw accessories on-line to see what's available to you.

Our dealer always installs aftermarket stuff, supplied by customers, or sometimes by our own parts dept.

Most of the dealerships don't install parts like lowering springs, maybe a BMW independent shop around your area can do it for you at a fraction of the cost. Goodluck!

BMW offers the Performance suspension kit as noted but it's not going to lower the car much. Barely noticeable vs the sport package, I wouldn't be able to tell unless someone pointed it out.

Does your car have the sport package already?

Please don't do lowering springs ... the stock dampers are not designed for anything other than the stock springs.
