Farewell, it's been a great 11 years! *New Macan GTS Pics added*

It has been a while since I posted anything however I still frequent the forum daily. This forum has been such a haven for me and my fellow enthusiasts and an integral part of my journey with BMW since 2007. I was one of the original 2007 Week 10 Production Crew and have met many great people on the boards, at various events, car meets and track days at Road America and Autobahn Country Club. I am extremely lucky to live so close to and team up with IND, the most passionate bunch of car enthusiasts you'll ever have the pleasure to meet.

Life changes made me decide to go a different route and I have signed the paperwork for a 2017 CPO Macan GTS, which I will take delivery in 2 days after a professional detail inside and out and Xpel Ultimate Application. The car is quite magical -for anyone who is still looking for the sports car experience but want a bit more practicality, which for me is defined as 4 doors, AWD, adjustable suspension and right height plus a bigger trunk with hatch, this is the perfect choice. Here is a copy of my build for anyone interested, she is an employee lease early turn-in, only 5 months old and < 6k miles on the clock. Pics to come later this week.

VF Leather Package in Black

Here is a tribute to my long time love, I will be selling the 19" BBS CH-R's with basically new Michelin PSS shortly. Please PM me if interested, prefer local sale in Chicago area.

Sapphire Blue is a beautiful choice of color.

The options list is perfect, too. That's a great build.

Once the detail work on the Macan is complete, please post some pics!

The PO of my M3 went to a Cayman and then to a Macan. He seemed very happy with it last time I talked to him. Safe travels down the road, OP.

Thanks for the well wishes, finally took delivery yesterday and snapped some quick pics. She drives like a dream and has a ton more tech compared to my 11 year old e92. I have some cosmetic mods planned but for now here she is bone stock. Enjoy!

I like the new ride! My neighbor went from a 2011 335i xDrive Imperial Blue/Tan Leather to a White/Black Interior 2016 Macan a few years ago a month or so before I got my 335i xDrive. She has had no complaints since her "upgrade". Then again she is a 60 year old Doctor so she is not exactly tearing up the pavement.

I've also been eyeing the same car as a next car but I don't like the interior layout of the dash and the center console layout of Porsche vehicles.

Again congrads!

Nice ride! I love the color, but something concerns me.....

The panel gap on the driver side front wheel is huge...what happened there? That gap right above the driver side caliper. Did anyone not notice that?

It's a giant clamshell hood and they're all like that. Sacrifices must be made, I guess.

Macan is a great "car." I spent some time in the Turbo and it's a very compelling package.

It's all good, I'm beyond the point where things like that bother me anymore.

Ha ha - thanks bud! Yeah, I have probably spent hundreds of hours if not more on this board over the years and it has been quite the journey. Even though I'm no longer an owner I still love BMW and will continue to follow the latest and greatest.

I was actually set on going M3 or Giulia Quadrifoglio but with my wife due in April with our first child I decided to get something, dare I say the "P" word? Practical? Nahhh - Porsche!
