Had to have spark plugs changed at 23,000

So my service light came on the other day and i knew it was getting close to oil change time. When i went into the dealership and had my key read, they said I needed new plugs as well. I asked him how long do they typically last and the service writer said 35-40,000 miles. He made a statement about hard driving causes them to wear out. The thing is I don't drive the car that hard and have only raced it 2 or 3 times. So my question is, has anyone else with a 335I had to have their plugs changed at such a low mileage?

Sounds like the SA took a jab at ya ............. they rarely (and I mean RARELY) have anything meaningful to say without it coming straight from the tech.

At my dealership they are all on facebook when you arrive at 7 am. I have no idea why they are working at the service counter when they look at customers as interruptions to their web access. Although my SA chased a curvy girl around her Z4, pretty ridiculous, and low class to boot.

Back to the OP's topic, my car says 29k for plugs, and I know I don't drive it hard.

Ya I have Dinan stage II tune. I don't really drive that hard though. THe SA told me the plugs are rated for 100,000 miles, but in the performance cars like the 335 and the M3 they're lasting about 35-40,000. For some reason my car just told them its time to change at 24,000 and the car wasn't running bad at all. The good thing is, it didn't cost me any $$$$$
