Agreed, Audi's are more pricey than BMWs for less performance, which is OK since you get the interior; but when Audi markets the RS5 as an all-out performance vehicle which still will get eaten alive on the track by a cheaper M3, they have a problem.

Don't speak too soon there bud. Who knows. Maybe the RS5 has what it takes to be the leader of the group.

Disagree. The cokebottle shape is what makes it. A return to when cars were designed with curves and not straight edges. I think of exotic cars that are bulged by the wheels and tight at the waist...

Those pics are a test mule of an RS5, however still very much in disguise. I'd say they've taken an S5 and fitted the RS5 engine into it for testing purposes. A way to tell this is not a true RS5 is that RS Audi's dont have twin-pipes, they use the bigger oval shape. Audi "S" models use the twin-pipes

RS5 is expected to look something like this.

Rumors are suggesting:
- 450hp, twin-turbo V8
- 6-speed manual or Audi dual-clutch system, with launch control
- First Audi to have 50:50 weight distributrion
- Retractable rear-wing at higher speeds
- Expected to be 50kg lighter than an S5

Side view still looks sort of Honday to me especially the C pillar area. But rear and front looks really, really nice.
