Post Carbon diffuser from rw carbon ordered

I was recently shopping around for a carbon performance style diffuser and everything seemed to be the same. I got in contact with Eric from RW and he was able to give me lots of good info. I couldn't find many reviews on there products since they are a pretty new vendor on e90.
He said it would be about 4 weeks out since each piece is made to order and checked for quality and fitment before it is sent out to me.
The price was competive with other vendors and not much more than eBay sellers. He assured me that even though there carbon products are made in Asia there manufacture only deals with RW and are not the same as the eBay items.
I will keep this post updated when the diffuser arrives. And give a review on it when it is installed.

Finally got some time to install the diffuser today. Actually kinda mad I didn't do it sooner since it only took about 15 mins...
I was pretty worried because of all the horror stories I have heard about carbon fiber parts and fitment issues but I had almost no issue here!

The carbon fiber is much more ridged than the plastic one that came off so there was not much flexing it but luckily everything was very close!
With a little pushing all the top tabs fit right into there spots. The two metal hangers on the left and right were not quite lined up but with a little love from some channel locks I was able to bend them into place. Took about 1 min per side so not a big deal at all!
Only other issue was the hole just to the left of center was not drilled out but the mounting screws and a good point on them and it drilled right through the diffuser and into the nut!

Overall I'm very happy with the fitment and install. If I choose to add any other carbon fiber pieces RW Carbon will be my first place to look!

I have heard a lot of negative reviews on other brands and eBay sellers. I figured I would give a new vendor a chance. No reviews are better than bad reviews I guess!

I hear ya on the negative posts about other brands. I ordered one from DD and was a nightmare...

I looked at RW, I was about to buy one and the price went up as I was talking to them. Apparently they made a mistake on their (new) website and they changed the price and said sorry we had the wrong price. They offered a small discount, but the new price was about $150 more than what I was about to order. I understood, but it irritated me. If I had ordered without questioning the price, I would have gotten the good price, but since I brought it to their attention they changed the price! Then I found identical to the one I was going to buy from RW...for... wait for it...$210 less ...so instead of $487 shipped from RW...I am about to order one for $270 shipped from Asia....So I guess I will take my chances.

After the DD debacle, I just don't trust anyone when they say it is made specifically for us and they are all test fit...but it comes from Asia.

Sorry to rant...I have had a nightmare finding a good diffuser.

Nice. Hope it works out for you.

On the contrary duke dynamics was insanely great with me. I installed a perfect fitting cf diffuser. Next day I got rear ended, but duke dynamics shipped another one out to me within a week. Fit perfectly just like my first one.

The aftermarket cf world is very hit or miss. Even with high end companies like vorsteiner.

I have been stalking their site for a while now. I saw a great review of rw on the f30 forum. Hopefully you can add another positive to that so I can have some peace of mind when it comes time to order.

Just spoke with someone at RW. They said the diffuser came in and the one that showed up was the full carbon diffuser and not the carbon/frp which is what I ordered. They said I could have the full carbon one for the same price if I wanted so of course I said yes!
It shipped out today so just going from SoCal to NorCal I should have it within a few days. Can't wait to check it out and get it installed.

Thank you for the order. Please post up some pictures after you get it installed.

Our apologies for the mix up. The price has been raised since we are offering a new product. The original price was for the half carbon fiber diffuser. We are now bringing in the full carbon fiber version so the cost is more. However, we are offering nice discounts to all forum members.

If you ever need anything or have questions please do not hesitate to PM me or give me a call at 714.328.4406

Thanks for pointing this out man. I was looking around for a CF diffuser and RW was on my list. However, I just can't condone using a picture of another product to represent their own. I've seen this repeatedly on the forums, from several vendors. Stuff like that can't "accidentally" happen, so it has to be deliberate, and I'm personally not okay with that. But that's just me. Either way, appreciate you bringing this up.

The picture was changed some time ago. The picture of the half cf diffuser we used to sell was given to us by our supplier to use. Since then we are now bringing in the full carbon fiber version and the pictures have been updated.

Not right now. These are currently out of stock with no ETA. We are currently awaiting a new mold to be finished but might take some time due to the low demand of the quad setup
