So I just picked up my 2009 E90 328i with the CIC. First drive home was fine but afterwards the CIC will constantly reboot after a few seconds. Just wondering if anyone had that problem before and what was the fix?

The car is back at the dealer for the fix.

When this occurs with the (prev. generation) CCC, it generally means that the unit is bad and needs replacement. Aside from the DVD, the individual components are not serviceable. Usually very expensive; mine's been replaced twice and the least expensive was $1100. A rebuilt unit is around $800 just for the part. It has to be installed (partial dash disassembly) and then coded for the car.

Solutions for the CIC was to get it replaced..... fortunately it was under warranty. They told me it is around $2000 job.

I had the same issue. i was out of new vehicle warranty but got the dealer to do a goodwill on CPO. Seeing as its the main component of the car for a lot of features of the car, its stupid its not covered under CPO. as more tech gets added to cars the term "stereo" needs to be redefined when it comes to the warranty" its not like its just a headunit anymore.
