Best Wheel Refinishing Shop in GTA?

I have a set of Volk Performance ME Forged rims that I want to have refinished this winter. Can anyone recommend a high end wheel refinishing place in the GTA?

Thanks,

I brought a set of Style 5s to Carcones. Didn't actually go through with the work since I didn't keep the wheels but they were highly recommended by the guys over on Rennlist and seemed like a good shop.

Thanks,

I am familiar with Carcones. Can anyone speak from experience as to whether they are a high value shop?

Carcones did my Style 230s this summer and did a flawless job. They also did a few friends' OEM BMW rims and everyone was satisfied.

I am happy with my experience at Carcones.

I would not recommend them. I had some wheels refinished with them and they weren't good. There were clear coat runs all over the wheels.

When I picked them up and pointed it out I was told its normal and if I wanted it fixed they'd have to charge me a small fee.

Comes down to how much you love your rims vs. price of new vs. price to repair. I used Union Rim Repair and they are decent. The last one I had repaired had a couple 'slag pops' on the clear which occured during baking of the clearcoat, but it's not enoguh to bother me personally. Was $200 to dismount, straighten, hypersilver refinish (hypersilver is generally more expensive), remount and balance.

Carcones is $335 for the same work.

I agree with you about price versus value. I tend to spend money and get forged rims so the cost of refinishing them every couple of years or so is so worth it relative to replacing the rims themselves. The alternative is to buy cheaper rims and replace them outright every few years....

Precision rim repair

I had a set of Blitz technospeeds on my old car, and as awesome as they were... if you sneezed on them, they would bend.

They did an awesome job fixing my rims the 2 times I went to visit them.

The only downfall is that the turn around time can be a little slow, but personally I have no problem waiting for quality work

A bit of OT, am thinking of have my Polished lip Work T1S to refinish the the barrel. The polished finishing were all ruined up by the wheel cleaner. So should I just re-polish it and stay away from any wheel cleaner or I should re-finish them in hyper-silver instead?

Agreed. Quy's coating does awesome work. Yes, he's not the inexpensive choice, but if you want a top notch job with lots of references.... Quy's Coating is the place to go.

I have personally used Precision Rim. Did an amazing job on a small bend I had in one of my Volks.

Precision rebuilt and refinished my custom widened Rial Daytonas for my M5. I have used them a few times in the past several years. Rick is the man to see, tell him Anuk referred you. They even do all of Lambo Toronto's wheel refinishing and few other dealers as well. They've got a 2-3 week wait right now, but good quality doesn't come fast.
