thoughts on sprint booster for N55? terrible throttle response.

Hey guys,

Ever since Feb. of last year after the newest software was updated my car has had terrible throttle response. We are talking I have to push the pedal down roughly 10-15% before anything happens. The car has been looked at by BMW countless times, including by a field service engineer, but to no avail. BMW even gave me the PPK for free, but it still did nothing to solve the problem. I absolutely love everything else about my car, but it is starting to spoil what has been an amazing ownership experience. So, my friend mentioned the idea of a sprint booster which is supposed to help throttle response...do any of you know if it will actually make a difference or whether it's just a waste of money?

Dumb question but has anyone checked the pot in the gas pedal assy? 10 minutes with a multimeter (i'd use an analog one for this and watch for a nice smooth sweep) might tell you more than taking it back to dealer.

They need to reset the throttle adaptation value after updating the DME.

Bump.
I've been looking into getting one for many years. I've been spoiled by my daily which is entirely mechanical and response if instantanious.
Should be able to tap the pedal and raise the RPMs.

Reason why N55 is not that responsive to the throttle is because of the valvetronic system and the turbo system. It is normal for it to be laggy. I had valvetronic sensor fail on my engine and computer defaulted to all valves being adjusted for maximum lift and engine controlled by the throttle butterfly, this instantly gave me instant throttle response.
