Be careful buying these lights as they are used. No telling what condition they are showing up in. ADHD claims to test them before shipping but so far I have had to deal with faulty Adaptives and have incurred hundreds of dollars with BMW dealer trying to get them to a workable state. I've basically been left hanging with the damage all up to me and no shared responsibility.

I'll vouch for ADHD, the lights were in perfect working order when shipped.
File a claim with the carrier if you feel shipping damaged the product. |

I apologize to ADHD if my post came across as a warning against HIM because that was not my intent. It was late.

I have an E93 with Adaptives. Is there any way to replace just the projector part of the lights without splitting the front lens cover from the rest of the plastic housing? After driving with European E-Code BiXenon lights retrofitted on several of my other cars I found it to be a rude reminder of just how backwards our USA lighting laws still remain after finding my new E93 with adaptive HID lights was equipped with the US DOT version of the European lights which means they have a modified projector lens on the USA cars that duplicates the same light output pattern on the original American sealed beam headlights from 40 years ago. DOT fixtures favor having a hot spot in the centre of the beam and lots of spatter upwards to illuminate unlighted overhead road signs. The result is that most of the extra brightness from the HID is wasted in glare on the dipped or low beam and the main or high beam scatters light everywhere instead of the tightly controlled pattern I have come to expect from European optics. My kids VW with halogen H7 lamps in stock DOT fixtures does a better job with the main beams than my new E93.
What I want to do is replace the projector units on my DOT lights with E-Code projectors but retain the original DOT housing so I can keep the hidden amber side marker LED that the DOT fixtures have. The other reason I want to do this is so I can remove the projector lens and have it treated with the emerald green anti-reflective coating found on most fine optical lenses these days. I think it would look really cool to have the projector lens reflect a metallic green color when it is not on. So what I am looking for is a set of European E92/3 adaptive fixtures without ballasts or bulbs in reasonable condition so I have the option of parting them out for the projectors or using them as is if I find removing the projector assemblies proves to be too much work, and if someone can come up with a set of fixtures with exterior damage bad enough to render them as parts doners but with fully functional inside parts at a much lower price I might buy those too just for parts and to have something to experament with.
