Just to clarify, I did not buy them for the drop as mainly I can't lower it due to the garage ramp. I was torn between bc br's and st coils.. which are basically near the same price range but from what I heard st coils are soft and don't have dampening adjustability so I bought the bc's as I wanted the option of having a relatively stiff ride if I ever wanted to track my car. the drop is good and if set to their softest dampening they will offer a more comfortable ride than the msport shocks.
the drop is as follows and I have this ammount of thread remaining to drop it further and although mine as an e82 it's got the same coils as the e9x has.

I dont have them yet, but plan to buy them once my OE suspension is worn. I think what makes them especially appealing is that they come with new top haps, no need for a spring compressor. IMO, a very good value overall.

I've been running these for almost two years now...and couldn't be happier:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=827160 Luckily, since I created that thread, my 159's have been relegated to strictly winter duty, as I now run on 162's for the summer months. My e90 is my DD and that includes an occasional 100+ mile round trip for meetings up near Boston and what not. Because it's my DD, I've softened the ride a bit and got it to where I'm pretty damn happy with how she rides and handles. I believe I'm 2-3 clicks away from the mid point, closer to the softer setting. For the money, IMO, you can't beat this setup. Would I prefer air-ride that I can raise and lower at will, sure. But that isn't happening anytime soon. I did a ton of research (such as yourself) prior to committing to the BCs and nearly everyone I spoke to was just as happy with their decision. The warranty totally helps. Luckily, I haven't had to take advantage of it. And that's with me driving on the horrible New England roads. Curious to see what direction you go in...good luck with everything.

BC's also come with camber plates and ST doesn't. Not a huge deal if you don't plan to slam and don't need the adjustment. However, camber plates aren't cheap if you need to buy them separately.
I like BC's, I run them on my Infiniti. I have KW V3's on my 335, but for the price it's hard to beat BC. |
