Registering new battery question
So I just installed a new battery and registered using BMW logger. My question is how long is it suppose to take to register. When I did it it literally was less then a second.i missed the "success" message the first time and did it again. Same thing less than a second. I was expecting it to take a bit to do what it's suppose to do. Is that what everyone else's experience been?

That is it you are done. If you have INPA software, you can confirm the registration. Did you change to a battery of similar specs or a completely different one?

More than likely the car had a flooded cell battery (White Casing).. If so you now need to 'Code' the car to the new battery specs.

I also just registered my battery with tool32.
In INPA all I see is the battery class is 80ah (which it is) and that the charge level stays at 85.x% with just the ignition on. So, how can I tell if I registered the battery correctly (tool32 job said "okay" after I selected "run job once".) and even more importantly, is it normal for the battery to sit at 85% or do I have an alternator problem Etc? |

The battery will be registered. Re charge percentage. Im not sure on this but I think Battery charge indicator may use certain charge points to display charge and a charge of <= 85% is deemed as fully charged. Just keep an eye on it. |
