Not yet.

I will be getting the K&N instead of the BMW filter though - I think the BMW version is regular paper throw away filter

I thought about using this one but I still like how the US version has the extra air-inlet near the windshoeld. Also the Euro one pictured has a different filter than I have seen on other Euro's. The one I had my eye on was a cone filter.

The issue that is holding me back is that the EURO kit does not say it is compatible with a 2008 328xi Sedan model according to realoem. Has anyone put this on 328i E90 Sedan model?

This is what I put it on. You have a N52 so it will work.

1st line item is for box alone

2nd line item is for kit - box + filter

Well, that answers my question if it fits or not. Now the problem is I would like instant gratification and waiting till October is killing me!

AFe dry filter is 11-10111, and the aFe oiled filter is 10-10111. I just ordered the BMW euro box from ECS along with an oiled aFe filter. Total with shipping was $454.31...

Ok guys I bought the US version for my european version. It doesn't fit. Mainly because we're supposed to keep the rear airbox on the US type but my european type has got only one big airbox. What am I going to do now?

Either return the U.S. Performance Intake you just bought, or pick up a complete regular U.S intake from scrapyard and use only the rear portion with your new performance intake, or you could sell me the U.S Perf intake you just bought

-OR-

I could swap out my U.S. regular intake for your Euro Intake - then you would get the half you need from mine, & would get the Euro intake that I want.

My intake off 09' 328ix E92 coupe with 6000 miles

Only problem is distance - & I can't go without my car as it is my only daily driver - rest are show cars. So I would need to receive your intake first before I could ship you mine...

Of course you could do the latter with anyone willing that is closer to your location

Do I get it right that you have the euro version in the car?
Why don't you just take off the cover off the airbox and call it a day. You will have the sound improvement like with any kind of tuning intake. (And you'll gain no horsepower like with any kind of tuning intake.)
And just sell the US one you bought.

Ok, I finally took the plunge and purchased the Euro air box with out the filter. Just not sure if AFE or K&N is a better filter for not only horse power but if one is noisier than the other at a minimal performance gain. Any insight into this by anyone?

I really like my K&N P/N E-2022 (try amazon) I went with it because they're proven and easy to clean and its what is in the euro performance intake .

I think I'm def getting one. Can get the whole set up with the k&n for about 400 and keep my warranty. Is there a noticeable sound difference over stock?

I kinda like the US version b'cos I think it has a better filtration system. All the air that goes in has to bypass the filter before it gets anywhere whereas the euro one has got a lot of unfiltered air entering the duct. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok say I managed to salvage a used rear housing. Can I still use back the air metering system? Any difference between the US and Euro type?

All air entering the euro box is filtered. The air sensor has the same P/N across the board for many models US and EU etc... Just be careful with it as they're very sensitive.

I think it is louder over the US box. Sounds beefier IMO.

I don't mind giving it a try. Now I just need to get the rear housing. Can anyone help? I'm not from US but travel there (San Francisco) quite often.
