+1 why are you on a bimmer forum if you dont even own a bimmer ? i mean its fine if you want to have a look around but you dont have to make fun of other people's mods... i mean its our car and we'll mod it however we like to mod it... i am not going to tell you how to mod your car either... i am sure if you list your mods on your stang we'll be able to find something that is too ricey or too pretentious or too "dumb".... but its your car and for that i'll respect your mods. so respect ours.

Just a quick question. Idk, it just hit me today, but remember on the whole gold tee mod i think it waz, with keeping the valve open or somethin?? How does this change if u remove the exhaust and change the tips on a 330i?? Jw because i remember that when you did the mod, it always stayed open(valve) but mine was open the whole time. Unless it closes when your driving and opens at higher rpms. Maybe im not making sense since i really dont know wtf im talkin about lol.

So im finally getting this done But i was just wondering one thing...... Who here has heard of "universal tips"?? Jw, not getting them or ne thing, just it would of been $90 flat to remove the exhaust and put those tips, but i got the magnaflow's instead, for $150. So yea just asking if they were better or not.

i have regular chrome tips on mine... but i am thinking of switching them out to magnaflow tips ... i went to two shops that carry their products and both said around $120 for a pair. when you say $60, is that 60 for a pair or for one? cos if its 60 for a pair, thats cheap!

Edit: Oh it all cost me 90 over all, n i meant 150 for removing the exhaust plus the tips, not just 150 for the tips alone, now that would be fuckin ridiculous!!! lol....I Cant get over the sound!!!! Thanks to everyone on this thread, and thanks to who came up with the idea!!! Best freakin mod ever and saves me money then spending 1000 plus on an exhaust!!!! Whooo Yea!!!!! LoL

some people have complained that you do loose power from removing the muffler because of the lack of back pressure but to be honest, its not very noticeable... i can barely tell the difference between the two... if anything, i swear my car drives the same as before...

hey guys!! i just did it today and it sounds amazing...i went with a single tip and it's a little bit louder than dual but it's in a nice way. I did it at beto's muffler shop and i highly recommand this place. Welding is neat and carefully done. Price is nice too, 40 bucks for the labor. Recommanded for LA ppl.
