Musicar - unable to contact them?

Hi all, I ordered a kit from Musicarnw, took a while to arrive but finally here.

I had read some good things about there customer service but I've been emailing them for the past 3 weeks chasing install instructions without a reply or even an out of office.

Has anyone else here used them or have contact with them.

I have an install booked for the 8th and starting to get worried..

I tried to contact them about doing an installed speaker upgrade at their facility a couple months ago and never heard back.

If you didn't get something highly exotic

If you didn't get something highly exotic
it shouldn't be that difficult .
The most difficult part is usually removing the panels
and reinstalling them.

I can give you list of links on installation if your intallers need it.
If you bought a basic level one or two kit for a hi fi system
you could do it yourself and save some money.

By the way is that Perth Australia

It's a stage 3 kit with pre amp and DSP hence the reason I'd like some guidance.

The installer should be fine with the install of the actual speakers (video was useful though).

But it's the wiring of the pre amp, amp and DSP that concerns me. It's also a rear speaker delete kit so understanding how that works.

All I have ATM is a cpl of boxes of parts.

Yep Perth Aus

I just got the E92 level 2 RSR w/ sub kit for the base stereo in last night. I installed it in about 4 hours while taking my time and making my cabling look nice. The hardest part is getting those damn rear panels back into the A pillar.

Did you start with the base system?

Did you start with the base system?
I think there are several example system threads
that might be of some use, MusicaNW ones that is.
List of parts would be useful . Did you get a da-2 and Helix
or just a Helix.

Well I couldn't get hold of them... Terrible, terrible customer service.

I would advise any potential buyers to source their gear elsewhere.

Well the stage 3 install happened today.. No worries fitting everything, took an installer about 6 hrs (after we figured out where to mount the amp.

It sounds absolutely aweful, worse than stock. Way too bright, next to no mid and the subs clip as soon as you give it volume. So it's obviously not tuned properly.

Can anyone with this setup (helix/amp) assist?

Should the EQ in the CIC still be functioning? I thought this was the role of the Helix?

Any help would be appreciated.

Wow.. Just finished reading the DSP guide, some serious options. Which makes me think the fact the CIC is still controlling the EQ is an issue.

It also makes me think there must be a default profile that can be loaded for the E92 with this fixed set of equipment. (I hope so as there are soooo many tuning options)

Again not sure what the amp settings should be.. Any help much appreciated. So frustrating to have this fine kit fitted and for it to sound sooo bad.

Are there any other BMW audio specialists in the states people could recommend to help?

Willing to pay for help/service.

I haven't been able to get hold of Musicar since they sold it to me months ago.

With the Mobridge, the factory head unit EQ is worthless and should be set to all flat.

Great down to now only 3 questions!

1. What components have I been sent?
2. Can I please have the correct DSP file sent?
3. What should the settings on the amp be set to?
