Astra,

I do now & then, generally when it's worth it - meaning no one is around so you don't have to slow down.

Where did you get the black white badges - unique/cool which I like..

Black and white badges are a DIY, most people seem to use an adhesive sheet and cut it to size for the black part. Or, you can fork out a whole bunch of money for some black white roundels from overseas, which is probably an overlay too lol

I doubt it, 95% of BMW's aren't fast cars.

When i drive the X3 i always have some Mazda 3 or 6 trying to rev up and race me. I always love there facial reactions when i take corners faster then them (thanks to sports suspension) and beat them.

However with my 335 i have had no such luck yet, no one wants to race a 335

Perhaps the reverse is true?

Lots of other P-platers want to race you when they see you drive a beema. Then when they come a little closer and realise it's a 335i, the ones who know the slightest thing about decent cars change their minds =P

I havent noticed hooning but what I have noticed is that other motorist seem to become more arragant and less likely to let you merge in traffic.

I never get anyone try and run me in my BMW's nor my 335 when I had it, however I don't run people on the street. That said, the current crop of M Cars (less the M5/6) and the 335 etc aren't particular fast cars. You only have to take a trip to the local race track or drag strip to see what constitutes a fast street car.

Might be time to apply the hairdryer to the boot and remove the 335i badge, then you may have a little luck. Or if you want to go a little further replace it with a 323i badge if you want to catch a few suckers out...

To be honest I have noticed people tend NOT to cut me off as much or tailgate me as much.

I swap driving between my new Subaru Impreza and the 335i.

Constantly in the Impreza people tailgate and cut off as per normal driving here in Melbourne But everytime in the BMW it happens less, same roads, same time of day and I drive the same speeds if not slower in the BMW.

No complaints here

As for racing someone off, I really couldn't care less because around my area they are mainly Commodores and Falcons, some of while would probably beat my 335 and that would be embarassing!

It depends on if they are modded, usually most Holden guys have CAI, tune and Di-Phillpo exhaust system (or another good brand) and gets there cars punching good numbers. Mind you in a straight line they are beasts but try taking corners in them

My God son has a VE GTS and has these mods, he said after driving my car that i could easily beat him around corners. After driving his beast of a car i realised that although the MRC is good it still isn't enough to stop the heavy mass from rolling around corners.

Don't be too affraid of the Aussie muscle cars
