Used to be an AMD fan, now Intel has stepped up so I voted for the latter.

intel currently has the best cpus w/ the c2d and c2q (i have a core 2 quad) amd cant even touch them right now

my guess is they are reorganizing with their acquisition of ATI and will come back like the fury

before this i was an AMD fanboi to the bitter end

Intel all the way... AMD is hanging on by a thin thread.

Intel has stepped it up in every direction. AMD's arent even much cheaper in price, but in quality they are lacking big time.

I had an AMD desktop and after 7 months of using it the computer would shut off after 20 mins of use. I took it to a PC help guy who showed me that the AMD processor literally melted and would over heat which caused the PC to shut off.

After that its is 100% intel

I have built several AMD computers and they all work great. Never had any problems at all. You can get the processors really cheap at Newegg too.

that was true a long time ago, now theres not a huge difference in architecture anymore, and with intel having released their new cores and AMD still revising their old cores they are at a huge disadvantage of course SOMETIME in the future amd will release there new cores which make intels obsolete and back and forth, though it will probably take 2 more core releases before that back and forth is restored the way things are going

AMDs on the die memory controller is a huge + though
