Pre LCI headlight Internals
So I picked up my 2007 335xi about a week ago and it had a passenger side low beam out and an adaptive headlight fault (cc-id 295). When I went to replace my low beam xenon bulb I noticed the lens socket seems pretty loose. I can move it all around. I am thinking the linkage has come off the stepper motor but not sure (car is from Hoboken so potholes seem to have ruined more than just the wheels). Has anyone taken the unit apart far enough to get at the linkage? Also, the adaptive has been out for a while, will I need to reset the short circuit counter before I can code a replacement adaptive module? Thanks in advance for any advice!

Some people have been able to fix the linkage, don't have the thread bookmarked. Should be able to find them with search or Google "E90 adaptive headlight fix".
