Lion - if I was you I would just ship my trim down to Sal and have him ship it back to you when he is done. Seems like the best option since he is only going to take the trim out of you car to wrap it so he doesn't actually need your car - unless of course you are worried about uninstalling/installing your trim.

So I visited ACM today. Nice friendly place. I took some shots of CL and CF. I would totally get CL. It is more
cloth/leather like, and just feels natural. CF Di-noc appeared plastic like and obviously artificial.
On the flip side, CF appeared more durable and was definitely stiffer.
Don't know about about CL but CF does come in different colors. Sal, however does not recommend any other
color and would not install anything else.

Lion, I too have all black interior and believe CL would simply look suave. You may have a look at pics once
mine's done. You should also try speaking with Sal to see if he could do yours in a single day.

Lion,

I can possibly offer you some help in regards to you dilemma. I am also a CT e90post.com user on the list. I can do one of two things.

1. I can drive your trim down when I go to deliver mine to Sal. I don't mind driving and since its all going to the same guy.... why not... However, I am last in line and your second so not sure what repercussions that will have.

2. I am also getting the CL done on my interior and I also have Black Leather so it'll be black on black combo. If it will help you decide, we can switch spots in line and I'll get mine done, show you whats its like and help you decide. (not try to steal your sexy second place, just trying to help).

Two suggestions... Just trying to lend a hand. Let me know what you decide or shoot me a PM and we can address Sal.

I don't think I can take you up both suggestions because If i drive your trim up to Sal, then your already "all-in" to getting your trim done.

I have 110% faith in what Sal does just by seeing his car and the type of perfectionist he is. If he thought it would look tacky or bad, he would not do it... period.

Up to you, hope I opened some more doors for you!!

I am going this weekend to get G, Z, and BMW meet in Berlin, CT this weekend so if you stop by we can chat some more.

Dr - thanks for taking the time to post those pics, that helps somewhat and also pics of your interior will also help. I assume from the pics that "stiffer" appearing material with the cutout is the CF di-noc? I am possibly going the route of OEM CL for the dash and doors and would need to use whichever would best match that for the center and rear console pieces. If I just go with the full wrap, it won't matter so much but would probably select the CL anyway. Either way, please post interior shots when you have them, thanks again for your help.

Mehale - thanks, I will likely be at the Berlin meet so we can catch up and discuss best options for both. I don't have a big problem switching spots and it's very generous of you to offer to show me the finished product. I have no doubts at all about Sal's work given all the testimonials on here, my only doubt is how it will look with my particular color combo, plus my exterior is black too - anyway, will catch up with you Saturday...my ride is an 09 335xi coupe, i'm sure you'll spot me in the crowd

Lion, Mehale - If it helps, I can let Mehale swap with me. The positions in the list really do not matter if it is slowing even one of us down. I'm occupied for the next two weekends which may be utilized by you folks. JUST GET IT DONE. I'm in NJ and can drop at Sal's anytime, so don't bother.

Position really makes no difference. We'll work on 1 set of trim per day, maybe 2 depending on other work load.

Blackout on a white bimmer looks amazing. There are a couple of pics on here if you search oss blackout or something like that. I think it would look great on any color. Definitely makes the front look more aggressive if that's what you want.

Slight change of plans guys!!

For those in the CF trim GB. Been doing a bunch of testing with the 2 different materials and I have to say that the 3M DiNoc is the way to go, as opposed to what I had suggested prior.

I will be ordering an entire roll of it as soon as all deposits are received. For those on the list, please call the shop (201-666-3500) to leave your deposit via CC. I'm expecting the roll to be here 7-10 days after its ordered and all trims to be done asap.

Thanks again for the support guys!
