Offsets

Hey this is my first post and i need help on offsets. I have an 08 335i coupe with 19" style 230 rims after doing some research i heard that these rims tend to crack since then i have cracked 2 rims. I was looking to replace them when i decided that i dont want the reoccurring problem. I look to replace them with some replica m6 wheels. I found some that 19 x 9.5 front and back with an 30 offset. I also found some 19 x 8.5 (front) 19 x 9.5 (rear) but not sure of the offset. I have a staggered set on now and was wondering which is the better route and also will they fit? Im trying to keep it as close to stock as possible for i am not an aggressive driver until the weekends. Also any suggestions on tires want to get away from run flats.

Well the style 230 wheels technically a stronger rim then the replica M6 wheels you are looking at. Whether you get forged, cast, or any wheels like that you have a chance to crack a wheel. I would suggest going with the recommend offsets if you want to keep your wheels as close to stock at possible. The stock 230 wheels are 19x8(+37)/9(+39) so that 9.5(+30) in the front will be really aggressive and would require stretched tires up front. Depending on the offset the other set of wheels you found might be your better bet.

Hey thanks for the help would you have any suggestion for 20" inch rims as well? The other set i was looking at had 35 offsets front and back how so im assuming thats a better fit?

If you're experiencing wheel cracks, I would advise against going with 20" wheels. You'll have an even lower profile tire, which makes the wheel more susceptible to damage from road hazards.

I would def say this ^^^^^

Even though I have 20s I still used 19" tire sizes (225/35/20 and 255/30/20) THESE ARE NOT RECOMMENDED tire sizes for 20s. I went this route b/c i wanted more meat on my tires.
